‘I’m just very grateful for this program’

In the days leading to National Single Parent Day on March 21, ASPSF is releasing new videos of our recipients! Below, Synthia shares how ASPSF has helped her focus more on her studies and family.

“My name is Cynthia Thomas. I am a recipient of the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. I’m working on my bachelor’s now in business management and supply chain logistics.

Before this grant, I was full-time student, full-time employee, part-time DoorDash worker, and also full-time mom. I’ve been able to drop the DoorDash altogether and just focus on the kids. I’ve been able to go to more football games and watch my daughter cheer. I’ve been able to spend more time with my kids all around and still have a little bit more security than I did before.

It’s something knowing that somebody is willing to invest this much money into you and this much time and processing your application. So I’m just very grateful for this program and the staff. Thank you so much.”
